This information is then displayed on Google Play, under the app's ‘Data Safety’ section, informing users about the developer's privacy practices before they install the app.

What is this ‘independent security review’ about?

An app can earn this label after undergoing a Mobile App Security Assessment (MASA) by the App Defense Alliance (ADA).

ADA is a partnership between Google and cybersecurity companies aimed at improving app security on the Google Play Store. It helps detect and prevent malware by scanning apps, ensuring a safer experience for users.

We have obtained Level 2 certification. The process here is as follows: A security lab conducts a human analysis using specialized tools to identify security vulnerabilities. The lab then requests clarification from the developer regarding the app's functionality. If the app meets the security requirements, the lab issues a validation report to Google confirming its compliance.
