In v2.8, we’ve focused on making your VPN faster, more stable, and prepared for upcoming improvements, including the future release on the Mac App Store.

Getting ready for the Mac App Store

We’re laying the groundwork for a big milestone: making AdGuard VPN for Mac available on the Mac App Store. To meet Apple’s requirements, we’ve started adapting the app to use the Packet Tunnel Network Extension — Apple’s system framework for managing VPN connections on macOS. You won’t notice these changes right away, but they are essential for future updates.

Under-the-hood improvements

This version also comes with some important enhancements. Our updated VPN client improves connection stability, speed, and overall performance, giving you a smoother and more reliable experience online.
