Installing AdGuard VPN for Android TV from a USB flash drive

  1. On your computer
    Download the APK file of AdGuard VPN for Android TV
    Copy this APK file to a USB flash drive
  2. On your Android TV
    Get a file manager app from Google Play if you don’t already have one
    Go to Settings and allow your file manager to install apps from unknown sources
    Insert the USB flash drive into your TV
    Run the APK file from your file manager
You may need to download and install Sideload Launcher to launch the AdGuard VPN app
Download an older AdGuard version?
This OS version isn’t supported. You can use an older version of AdGuard, but it won't receive updates

Installation

Download the AdGuard VPN APK file. If your browser displays a warning, allow downloading adguard-vpn.apk. Tap Open.
If installations from your browser are not allowed, you’ll get a notification. In this notification, tap Settings → Allow from this source.
Accessing these settings manually
To allow the installation of apps from your browser, go to Settings → Apps & notifications → Advanced → Special app access → Install unknown apps. Select your browser, then tap Allow from this source.
For Samsung devices with One UI 6 (Android 14) and newer
On some Samsung devices, the Auto Blocker feature may prevent APK installations. To install the app:
Open your device settings.
Go to Security and privacy.
Scroll down and tap Auto Blocker.
Disable the setting.
You can re-enable this feature after the installation.
In the installation dialog, tap Install.
Wait for the installation to complete and tap Done.
AdGuard VPN is now installed on your device. To launch the app, tap its icon in the list of installed apps.
